The long-awaited opening of Hatfield's Oak Hill Crematorium is set to take place later this month. A lawn cemetery has stood on the site since , but redevelopment has seen a new state-of-the-art crematorium, large chapel for services, and landscaped gardens built. The scheme comprises a new single storey Crematorium with integral Machinery Store to the south western corner of the existing Lawn Cemetery, operated by the Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.
