The friendly folks at Ohuhu were kind enough to send me their set of dual-tip brush and chisel alcohol markers Amazon affiliate link to review. How do they compare? Read on for my in-depth analysis! I'll also show you several examples of artworks I colored in with Ohuhu brush markers. Ohuhu sent me their set of alcohol markers, which have dual tips just like Copic Sketch Markers , with a brush tip at one end and a chisel tip at the other end. Update: A few months after writing this review, Ohuhu also sent me their set of 48 Pastel Markers to try, which you can read about at the end of this review! Above is a pic of a single Ohuhu marker.

Updated: Sep 30, Hi again! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my recent post of these two drawings:. To test these two marker brands, Copic and Ohuhu, I decided to draw the same image twice, and then color each piece using one of the brands. I thought this would make for a good direct comparison of the marker's colors and overall quality. I wanted to try and make both of these pieces as Identical as they possibly could be, so I tried lots of different color combos to find something I felt I could achieve with both brands. I did not want to have any bias towards Ohuhu for not having the correct color matches for my Copic piece, since I am a huge fan of Copics, so I made sure to choose colors both brands had and worked on the pieces simultaneously. Once I got Copics though, I was sold, and essentially just started filling my collection. Recently though, Ohuhu Markers, a cheaper alternative to Copics, started to grow in popularity.

Artist Needs. NOTE: I searched for a long time to find an official statement that were the max color options for Ohuhu markers, but could never find one. Trying 21Draw's Art Courses Raineydaydoodles. After finishing a coloring session, I began attempting to put the markers back in order in the case but after several minutes it became too frustrating as the markers all shifted and flopped around, making it difficult to keep them in straight rows, let alone perfect order. I deliberately chose an illustration that would work well with light, bright colors, but when I tried coloring in the whole sun using just the pastel markers, I quickly concluded that I prefer using a mix of light and dark colors in my artwork. The downside of this set-up is that if you remove a bunch of markers from a section which you are very likely to do when you are in the flow and you need quick access to a few different color groups for blending , the remaining markers can easily get jostled around and moved out of order. This isn't necessarily the issue, though. If you combine this set with the set that I reviewed above, you'll have a nice well-rounded set of markers with a solid range from light to dark across the color spectrum!
