Old xfinity box

In addition to the accurate comments from dayziner, old xfinity box, the guide in legacy service the "old interface" with easily-read white letters on blue background allows looking at listings for one channel at a time as much as two weeks in advance by "highlighting" a channel in the guide then pressing the guide button again.
Tuesday, March 22nd, PM. Elderly customer in 80's. Was sent 2 new X1 boxes without our asking, as Xfinity said our old ones will stop working in April. We are old people with TV's that are 25 years old. They only have cable in, on them.

DanicaAre you able to click the "sign in" towards the top right? I am 84 old xfinity box old. It's really a shame that xfinity didn't make an option with more settings for customizing the guide view.

HD Tuners: 6. Data effective as of post date. Offers and availability may vary by location and are subject to change. Share Nov 10, It has a user-friendly interface, excellent voice remote, and more integrated streaming apps than other DVRs. It also has a solid mobile app that lets you access your live channels, on-demand content, cloud DVR recordings, and subscription streaming apps on your mobile devices. But this everything-in-one box keeps us interested in the X1 despite those shortcomings. Our guide to Xfinity bundles has pricing and more info. You could opt to skip the box and purchase cloud storage directly, only accessible from xfinity.

Vertical scrolling through the selected channel is quick and easy. I looked for this functionality in the X1 guide at a friend's house; it's not available with the dark, nearly unreadable X1 guide. Apparently, horizontally scrolling "into the future," was the closest equivalent and was very slow and awkward. I also like setting reminders in legacy service; I couldn't find an equivalent in the X1 guide. It would seem that those who designed the X1 guide don't use it themselves.
Twitter nip slip
Thank you Danica , we responded to your private message! Unfortunately, since we are phasing out the older legacy platform, it's not possible to go back to a legacy box. The entire interface is terrible. Except did they really have to make the remote click when you press the buttons? Start Here. Did the X1 box come with a remote control, you need to use that to set up your device. I just did thank You. Was your question answered? Also there is an X1 box on the bedroom 2nd TV that works fine, why were we sent a new one when we will never use the things it is for? Too many shows are displayed in the guide making room for only the first word in a show title. This is maddening and expensive for people in their 80's. Hello Bill21grove and others providing feedback regarding the X1 guide. Even just going back to the previous channel by pressing the back button you have to press the back button plus enter. Comcast needs to find some people with common sense and maintain the best features and then add some new ones.

Volume and channel change are the most used functions. When in on demand, instead of having a simple list of programs or movies you have to scroll back and forth and up and down searching through movie posters or DVD covers or whatever they are. In addition to the accurate comments from dayziner, the guide in legacy service the "old interface" with easily-read white letters on blue background allows looking at listings for one channel at a time as much as two weeks in advance by "highlighting" a channel in the guide then pressing the guide button again. Everything is dark and hard to read. Do I need new TV's and then have a technician come out to the house? Our team can most definitely take a further look at this issue. Too many shows are displayed in the guide making room for only the first word in a show title. We will never use streaming, or voice command or on demand or record anything. Is it possible to get an old legacy box and go back to the much nicer interface? I am 84 years old. The entire interface is terrible.
