I think from the moment I could focus my eyes on something, I was addicted to TV. I loved singing and dancing in front of my favourite shows. I started off dancing from the age of about four. I think I just loved being on stage. I did tap, jazz and hip hop. My mum usually drove me home before my class had got to the finale. Being a lover of entertainment, clearly the six year old drama queen that I was, made me realise I wanted to be an actress. I started acting in school plays, when I was six. I did that for a while but I never took it too seriously when I was younger. I will admit I spent a lot of time talking to the camera as if someone was watching. Yet this shouldn't put you off because that's exactly why you end up falling for Mia, Penny and Austin, no matter how cruel or ridiculous they can be. But while Austin spirals and Penny pushes herself into spaces where she might not be wanted, it's Mia who draws the most laughs just by being the actual worst.

The situational comedy stems from the different life perspectives of the female leads, and how they relate or don't to the highs and lows of their gay male roommate. The Netflix show doesn't necessarily have one big name from pop culture, though the situational humor will likely resonate with the targeted demographic.
