Orphan of kos
Bloodborne is a video game that is extremely unforgiving to those who won't respect its gameplay mechanics and style. To overcome Bloodborne, the player must be patient when playing —knowing when and when not to attack and when and when not to dodge. One boss in this game that perfectly encapsulates this principle is the Orphan of Kos. The Orphan of Kos is arguably the hardest boss in Bloodborne , if not the hardest boss in the entire Soulsborne series. Aside from the boss' difficulty level, FromSoftware Games also made sure to make this character as interesting and complex as everything else in this game. There are a couple of details about the Orphan of Kos and Gehrman that hint at a connection between the two. It is known that Gehrman was among the Byrgenwerth hunters who attacked and massacred the people of the Fishing Hamlet. It also seems like they may have killed the real Orphan of Kos in the waking world. The Orphan's sobs when first approached is the exact same sound as Gehrman's sobs, only pitched lower. When the Orphan is defeated, the Doll will comment that Gehrman has suddenly stopped being restless in his sleep. If the design of the Orphan of Kos itself wasn't terrifying enough, one other aspect about this character that makes it more horrible is its weapon of choice. The Orphan wields its own placenta, flailing it around like an axe. The placenta's handle also seems to wrap itself around the Orphan's arm.

The critically acclaimed Bloodborne hosts a cast of challenging and interesting boss battles. The eerie setting of the From Software title opens up room for horrific character designs. Taking inspiration from the Lovecraftian mythos, Bloodborne provides players with one of the most unique experiences of the PS4 generation if not the history of video games. All of its visually pleasing qualities aside, the game can be incredibly difficult for a new player. The variety of challenging boss battles can be an intimidating bridge to cross. And the crowned king of these hard boss battles is awarded to the infamous Orphan of Kos fight. Heralded as one of the most challenging battles by fans and critics alike, the Orphan of Kos is a handful for even the most battle-hardened Dark Souls veteran.

Orphan of kos
The Orphan of Kos is considered one of the toughest bosses not just in Bloodborne but of any Soulslike game. Only by finding and killing the Orphan to reunite it with its mother can the Nightmare end and the blood-drunk hunters find peace. Unlike most other bosses, the Orphan of Kos has two phases. The first starts with him turning around and immediately attacking.

You do not want to stand close and exchange blows with the Orphan of Kos as he will dismantle any player in his way. Visceral attacks looked good for the first few tries but I found out that I'm not good at it. The real Orphan of Kos in the game is the black phantom they set free after the fight. The best opportunities to heal are when he is far away and during the longer recovery periods of his moves; also beware that he will sometimes attempt to trick you by following up with another attack when he appears to have ended a combo. The Orphan's sobs when first approached is the exact same sound as Gehrman's sobs, only pitched lower. I mean, compared to the difficulty of the Watchdog of the Old Lords in the Defiled Chalice, this guy was relatively straightforward. It is advised not to duo co-op against this boss as his health pool will be increased and his move set in phase 2 becomes more unpredictable especially his blood orb attack. But fear not! From a range, he will reach into his weapon and throw a ball at the player. He will start a fairly slow windup, bringing his weapon to the left of his body before swinging the weapon around twice in a circular overhead swing.

The player simply backstabs or parries Orphan to cause it to become vulnerable and in the "visceral state". For this attack, dodge to the left of him as dodging right may inflict the partial damage of the weapon coming back on the landing. And while there are moments that may require a bit of retreat, it shouldn't be the primary method of mobility in this battle. Keep in mind that this fight is frustrating even with these tips and tricks in mind, but with some resilience, he will be nothing more than trivial in no time. His fast combinations and damaging moves may seem like too much to overcome. This curse took the form of the Hunter's Nightmare, a hellish dream-world where all who become consumed with bloodlust are sent to hunt and kill for all of eternity. Or am I just weird? In his second phase his hitboxes get wonky towards his left side, so you can just walk around in that area right next to him and keep playing aggressively while waiting for stamina. Rinse and repeat until the enemy is defeated. Once it has died, the spirit will linger with the corpse of the mother until slain, which pleases Kos to the point of her lifting the hunters' blood curse of the Nightmare. The Orphan uses its placenta as a bludgeon and is shown to be incredibly strong.
I consider, that you are not right. I am assured. I suggest it to discuss.
