We've made two slight tweaks since the updated newspost yesterday: The poll question regarding the new rewards has been split up into seperate questions. Added October 31st. Last week, we released some top-level ideas for how we'd like to expand Combat Achievements and we've been incredibly pleased with the response so far! The new Combat Achievement update is live! The main difference with the new update is that Combat Achievements are now point-based meaning the rewards are easier to unlock. Every combat task you complete will give you a certain amount of points based on the difficulty of the task. Since each tier has a lot of tasks, this was basically dead content. Instead of needing to unlock every task within the tier, you now receive points for each taste. Every couple of points, you unlock a new tier!

Under the new points-based system, tasks are worth a number of points equal to their tier. Every task you complete will contribute to your point total. This provides a number of benefits, the main one being that all the awesome rewards available from Combat Achievements can now be unlocked with any combination of said Achievements, instead of having to complete an entire tier! We hope the new system will encourage players to try out harder tasks earlier in their account progress, instead of feeling like there was no point trying until they were ready to complete the entire tier. So first up, we've added two questions to this newspost, to be polled alongside some other pieces of content that we can't discuss just yet. As an immediate change, we've removed the NPC Contact buffs from the list of new rewards, as we agree with the sentiment surrounding it. We have instead replaced them with an increase to the number of Cannonballs your Cannon can hold by 5, 15 and 30 across the Medium, Hard and Elite tiers respectively - another popular suggestion.
