Outer senshi sailor moon
The Outer Senshi of the Sailor Senshi. The Outer Senshi is the official name given to the group of the Soldiers of the Outer Solar System who defend the solar system from external threats.
When Toei Animation wanted to make an anime series based on this work they asked for more content. Author and illustrator Naoko Takeuchi set out to make her Sailor Soldier more well rounded and to give her a team. However, when reading Act 13, The Final Battle — Reincarnation , the manga reads more like a series ending than just an arc ending in the middle of a series. That is because Mrs. Takeuchi intended it to be the original ending of the series. Due to the popularity of the series however, mainly the anime, Toei asked for more.

Outer Sailor Guardians is a group of Sailor Guardians who defend the solar system from external threat. During the Silver Millennium , the Outer Sailor Guardians were given the task of protecting the solar system from enemies outside of its borders. After working together for some time, they were joined by Setsuna Meiou Sailor Pluto , a college student, and Hotaru Tomoe Sailor Saturn , a much younger girl though her age varies due to rebirth cycles and accelerated growth. In civilian form, the Outer Sailor Guardians appear charming and personable, but their relationship to the other girls as Sailor Senshi varies depending on the medium anime, manga, etc In the beginning, the two teams usually have a mutually strong aversion to each other, forcing Usagi, Mamoru or Setsuna to act as mediators. While they demonstrate extreme dedication to their roles as soldiers, the Outer Sailor Guardians can be aloof, and are willing to forego heroic behavior and make ruthless choices for the greater good. They can also be ambivalent towards the Inner Sailor Guardians if they think conflict will arise from attempted cooperation, or as a mishandled way of protecting others. In all incarnations, the question of how to handle the potentially dangerous Sailor Guardian, Sailor Saturn formed the largest conflict of interest between both groups. Eventually, more is learned of the Outer Sailor Guardians' history during the Silver Millennium and the two teams mutually accept each other. In the anime , the Outer Sailor Guardians were portrayed as much more openly aggressive and prideful, disdaining the offer of help because of perceived weakness in Usagi's group. Their conflicts of interests continued all the way till the end of the season. Even later on they generally acted alone or in tandem, sometimes meshing poorly with the other team's pursuits. They also seemed to lack the closer friendship to Usagi's group that is often present in other versions of the story. Their exact role in the past is also left more ambiguous. Depending on the medium, the Outer Sailor Guardians may already be in possession of these weapons when they are first introduced, or may acquire them later.

Take, for example, the fact that the Outer Senshi are much more powerful than their Inner counterparts. Done deal, right? Though, when you try to scratch below the surface, it quickly becomes apparent that there are never any specific references to back this up. Is this true throughout the entire series, or just when the Outers first appear? And how do the Sailor Soldiers stack up against each other, anyway? Fortunately for us, all we have to do is open up a book and check!
Introduced with the Outer Senshi Uranus, Saturn, and Pluto late in the series, Michiru Kaioh was the picture of grace and elegance, but she could tear her enemies to pieces just as easy as she could breathe. With a love for the arts and a strength that could outmatch the Inner Senshi, Sailor Neptune has long fascinated Sailor Moon fans. In the magical girl genre of anime, technicolor hair is a must. While there are plenty of characters who have hair colors found in nature, some get to be bright spots in the animation, sticking out from the rest. Instead, her hair has a lot more of a wave to it. Michiru had dreams that opened up her mind to the past life she lived in the Moon Kingdom. When she fully realized who she was, she set out to find Haruka and begin their lives as Sailor Senshi. Neither Artemis nor Luna had to give her her memories back. As civilians, only a few of them retain some of their powerful abilities.

The Sailor Moon manga series features an extensive cast of characters created by Naoko Takeuchi. Each Guardian undergoes a transformation which grants her a uniform in her own theme colors and a unique elemental power. The ten Sailor Guardians are named after the planets of the Solar System, with the exception of Earth but including its moon. While many of the characters are humans with superhuman strength and magical abilities, the cast also includes anthropomorphic animals and extraterrestrial lifeforms. The series follows the adventures of the titular protagonist, Sailor Moon , her lover Tuxedo Mask , her cat advisor Luna , and her guardians and friends: Sailors Mercury , Mars , Jupiter , and Venus. Takeuchi's initial concept was a story called Codename: Sailor V , in which Sailor V discovers her magical powers and protects the people of Earth. After the Codename: Sailor V manga was proposed for an anime adaptation, Takeuchi changed her concept to include ten superheroines who defend the galaxy. The manga's anime , live-action , musical , and video game adaptations feature some original characters created by the production staff and not by Takeuchi. When Sailor V was proposed for an anime adaptation by Toei Animation , Takeuchi changed the concept to include Sailor Venus as a part of a " sentai " team of five and created the characters of Sailors Moon, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter. The name "Sailor Senshi" comes from sailor fuku , a type of Japanese school uniform that the main characters' fighting uniforms are based on, and the Japanese word senshi , which can mean "soldier", "warrior", "guardian", or "fighter".
