I think the p06e9 weak starter performance is just due to my battery being old, I still have the oem battery from From what I have read the pc is the purge valve needing to be replaced, js there an upgraded part or should I just get something off rockauto. The next is to change canister valve and check hoses down by fuel cell. Mine also is causing idle issues. Tuner and myself have checked everything in the engine compartment so don't believe cause is there.

Thread Tools. I have a F Ecoboost 3. For the last two years I've had the PC code and no luck finding the culprit. Recently I decided to build my own smoke machine to see if I can narrow down the issue. Current symptoms I have: 1. Difficulty starting after refueling. Decreased mpg I placed the smoke on the hose at the vapor canister. This hose is located to the front of the fuel tank and I believe it is Ford part 9GB.

The main components of the EVAP system are the purge valve, EVAP canister, hoses and vents, leak detection pump, fuel tank, and fuel tank pressure sensor. Unlike exhaust fumes that are released only when the engine is running, gasoline can vaporize even when the engine is off. Should this vapor escape into the atmosphere, it could cause pollution that is more than that caused by exhaust fumes.

So it may pop back up. Jan 30, SCAR Ford showed up often in the set of results that I looked at, but I didn't spend any additional time looking for other makes. My guess is that under boost the purge valve vents back into the intake tube thats creating a vacuum because it cant vent to the other side thats under boost pressure.
