Dinosaurs in Ark have different roles and usefulness throughout the game. While some may become obsolete as You progress, there is one dino that constantly proves its worth - the Parasaur. This underutilized yet versatile dinosaur maintains its usefulness from the start to the finish of the game. Let's Delve into why the Parasaur is an essential creature to have on your team. The Parasaur is often overlooked by players, but it shouldn't be underestimated. These dinosaurs are incredibly easy to tame, especially during the early stages of the game.

Common Rare Untameable Cave. It is also referred to as "The poor man's Iguanodon " for the fact that it serves the same purpose as an Iguanodon , but can be tamed much earlier in the game. It's a medium sized Hadrosaurid dinosaur that's common throughout the ARKs and inhabits beaches and grasslands, fleeing from the predators that attack it. This section is intended to be an exact copy of what the survivor Helena Walker , the author of the dossiers , has written. There may be some discrepancies between this text and the in-game creature. Parasaurolophus amphibio has one of the more interesting adaptations of any creature I've seen on the Island. Like all Parasaur, it has a signature crest on its head. Very docile at first, I've been able to approach the creature without disturbing it. If startled, however, the creature can vocalize a distress call to the surrounding area that warns of danger. Parasaurolophus appears to be low on the food chain and is hunted by everything, creatures and humans alike, which explains its skittish nature. It is a good source of meat and hide, if you can manage to keep up with it long enough to kill it. Despite being what most tribes consider a relatively useless creature to tame, I once met an interesting woman who had tamed an entire herd of them. She informed me that many overlooked the creature's potential. She even graciously gifted me a fancy saddle to put on my own Parasaurolophus one day.

Parasaurolophus is a dinosaur that lived about 76 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous Period. It was first discovered in in Alberta, Canada by Dr. William A. A name he gave the animal because of its prodigious bony crest that exists on top of its head. Fossils of this dinosaur have not only been found in Canada, but has also been found in parts of Utah and New Mexico. This dinosaur is estimated to have been about 40 feet long, 8 feet tall at the hips and weigh about 2 tons. The bony crest on top of its head is believed to have grown as long as 6 feet long.

The duckbill dinosaur Parasaurolophus is instantly recognizable due to the giant crest that starts at its nose and arches back over the top of its head. NC State paleontologist Terry Gates was part of a team that recovered a Parasaurolophus skull with an exceptionally well-preserved crest from the badlands of New Mexico. The skull answers questions concerning the overall structure and function of the crest and establishes relationships between this species and other North American Parasaurolophus species. The Abstract sat down with Gates to ask some questions about the find. TA : This skull is from a rare species of Parasaurolophus — Parasaurolophus cyrtocristatus. Gates : There are only two skulls from this particular species, as far as we know right now. To add little intrigue to this answer, there are many skulls of Parasaurolophus from an area of southern Utah that do not have an identification yet.
