Bare but for her bravery, the clenched jaw she wears as armor. He does not look down, does not look anywhere but her face as he shuts the door behind him. The lock clicks loudly in the silence. She turns to face him in the dim lantern light. He pauses a few feet away, and slowly his gaze pulls down the naked length of her body.

His hands gently clutched my shoulders, which were invisible to him, but I couldn't help the goosebumps that rised - and I felt irritated that he had that offect on me.
I remembered all his features; his windswept hair, his green eyes, his cheekbones, his tan skin, his muscled percy and annabeth kiss, his crooked teeth, his lips - but the expression he wore now changed all of his features. In the beginning, Nico is a bright-eyed and curious kid. He asks Percy a few too many personal questions, but Percy has fun talking with him anyway. From then on, Nico becomes a semi-antagonist and someone Percy can only count on some of the time. In the end, though, Percy never gives up on trying to make it up to Nico and allowing them to become friends again. The last book in the series is both dark and heartwarming, as the series starts to come to a close and Percy is dealing with the consequences of earlier quests. In The Last Olympian , Percy struggles with himself after learning that he must fulfill the most frightening prophecy yet, but he takes this burden and makes the best of it when he can.
