Safe to say I will be using a groomer who is a professional next time!!!!!!! I will not be shopping in there again until they stop selling what they call 'live food'. Beyond cruel packaging, hearing crickets stacked on shelves, in tiny plastic compartment boxes, where they can't move. How long they are like this also doesn't bear thinking about.

I've not needed to bath my puppy yet.. I brush her daily double thick coated Eurasier but having been out in the mud and rain a lot she's got an air of swamp about her now! She's a timid dog with people on walks but I don't have good facilities at home for bathing her and wondered if it would be better to take her somewhere to have a bath, but don't want to terrify her! Are they any good, especially for a first time bath she's 5 months now.. I should have started when she was tiny but had no idea how to do it!

Mabel came for her first puppy groom today. She is a very large and lively 4 month old standard poodle, and I was worried about how it would go. I was so bowled over by how lovely the staff were, Mia handled her brilliantly and Mabel was happy to be there. She came out looking and smelling great! Sidney always comes here! She's a very nervous girl, but they take their time with her. A lovely, friendly team, full of cuddles and patience. She wags her tail every time she comes in now More Thanks to Debbie at Petsathome botley rd for her patience, brilliant advice, and kindness to Pilot! She managed to get a very shy puppy to feel at home! Ela and Jenny. I have been taking my 3 westies to the Botley groom room for a number of years now and they always come home looking beautiful. The girls in the groom room are always so friendly and helpful and I highly recommend anybody to take their dogs here. The girls at The Groom Room are always so friendly and helpful and treat Poppy so well!

Regular grooming helps you build and maintain the relationship with your pet. It also reduces dander, which causes allergies, and gives you a chance to spot any medical issues, like a rash, soreness, or parasites. Some pets take to brushing, bathing, or nail clipping right away, but others can be, er, ruff work. Take things slowly, and work up to each grooming action. Then, trim just one or two nails at a time, and continue the process over the next few days. The experts I spoke with said you should give your pet pea-sized pieces of high-value food, like string cheese or a freeze-dried treat, during both training and grooming time. This is also a good time to check for signs of any discomfort, strange lumps or abrasions, and fleas or ticks. Pets with smooth, short coats, like boxers, can be brushed weekly, while those with longer coats that are easily matted, like bichons frises and ragdolls, need brushing multiple times per week.
