Ya know, one of reasons I'm not super enthusiastic about using PF2e ancestry in starfinder cantina is that lot of PF2e ancestry design is made with pathfinder assumptions in mind. Meaning that its kinda sucks for me flavor wise that Automaton is living construct that has nothing interesting from being construct besides that they can avoid eating, sleeping and technically don't breath despite needing oxygen. So I'm still affected by poisons, diseases, can't store smuggle myself in vault inside a box, etc. I imagine the overlap will be pretty limited outside of the super common stuff like elves, humans and androids. Differences there - particularly for androids - might happen. Other than that, SF2 will probably heavily focus on developing its own existing and new ancestries. At most I expect a conversion guide made by both teams together, so we can do this ourselves. What I see is that there is a difference between mechanically compatible and narratively compatible. There is nothing mechanically wrong with dropping in a PF2 ancestry or class or monster exactly as written. They will 'work just fine' in the sense that the numbers and bonuses will be appropriate and the rules will be clear and functional. An example that I used in a different thread is the Artillerist archetype.

Pathfinder 's uncommon ancestries are perfect for players who want to stand out with unique, unconventional characters.
