I use the ordinary glycolic toner for reference, so this product felt a bit gentler than thsunblock but did the job. Only reason I took off 2 stars was due to the scent. This product has a strong scent that is reminiscent of the scent found in drugstore sunblocks. I personally really did not like the scent, but I know others who love the smell of sunscreen so that's just personal preference.
