By spikes July 14, in General Support. Edit: I solved it by turning on UPnP I am running the plex docker and watched several videos how to set it up to make sure im not missing anything. I forwarded port TCP in my ubiquity router. I have tried deleting the server and re-adding it back, i have installed different dockers, i have tried turning off Internet threat management, anything i missed?

I am on a wg router running a rebranded version of openwrt I dont believe the issue is with the router or openwrt build but my understanding of whats happeneing. I have tried the following to get plex accessable from outside my unit: port forward of any traffic using port to my severs ip address traffic rule again using port tried opening many other ports related to plex added in upnp and enabled the 3 checkboxes though not sure that is the correct method Start UPnP and NAT-PMP service Enable UPnP functionality Enable NAT-PMP functionality. No matter what I do plex will say it connects fine and turn green for anywhere from 10 seconds to a few minutes then go red loses external access. I am not familiar with linux or with controlling openwrt from a command line. I am not even sure if there is a log somewhere I should be checking. Lastly not sure if this is relevent but my internet connection is from a verizon phone plan, could verizon somehow be blocking that kind of traffc since its a phone plan? A rebranded version likely means that there are potentially material differences between the official OpenWrt and what you're running. Furthermore, Please consider installing the latest official version of OpenWrt I missed this in my earlier review If wireless, this is very likely the reason you cannot maintain access. I am kinda stuck on the older version because when I try the newer versions everything loads properly and I get no errors but I have major issue with the data so I have stayed on this older version which is flawless.

Hello, I own My Cloud ex2 ultra, updated to the latest version. In the Public folder we have movies and series. Everything looked fine, even the access. However, the problem arose when I want to play media in PLEX outside the home network, so via remote access. Set up a different port, tried turning UPnP off and on in the router but no luck. I do have to say, that all of my Plex servers are registering normal by using a manually published port no upnp. I have read the tutorials from the internet and from the links you posted, but the problem persists. If the version you are using is customized, it may not work the same way as official OpenWrt, and may or may not even let you install. As a troubleshooting step, use custom port not adjust the port mapping on the router to match and see if the issue persists. If wireless, this is very likely the reason you cannot maintain access. All I can see so far is a bunch of settings that don't match, so not working is the expected result.
