These currency shards include several types of Basic Currencies, as well as many powerful Harbinger-specific currency shards. Released alongside Path of Exile's sixth major expansion, The Fall of Oriath, the Harbinger Challenge League augments the new content with challenging encounters and new rewards. Harbingers are invincible enemies that summon waves of enemies and summon new ones as they are defeated. Harbingers can also indirectly attack by empowering their minions, such as creating a Righteous Fire aura around a monster or have all monsters use Flame Dash. At higher levels, Harbingers can also summon Obelisks that can attack or power up their monsters. Unlike the player version, Harbinger can still cast Mark skill as aura, as well as Hex as aura. Harbingers drop primarily currency shards. Shards from Harbingers are not affected by modifiers to Item Quantity - either from the player [1] or area modifiers [2] tested by Prohibited Library. Modifiers to item rarity do not affect currency shards in either case.

All characters and stashes were moved to Standard league and Hardcore league respectively when the leagues ended.
