Poe tree
PoE 3. The new Atlas passive skill tree introduced with the Siege of poe tree Atlas Path of Exile expansion, poe tree, provides a new method for players to craft their own endgame experience by choosing and enhancing their favourite game mechanics, such as Delirium and Legion, and chasing their own strategies, such as boss killing or focussing on map sustain and progression.
This is Path of Exile's passive skill tree. It is a vast web of skills that provide passive bonuses to your character. Each time you level up or complete certain quests, you can allocate a skill and explore deeper into the tree. All character classes share the same tree, but start at different locations that are aligned with their primary specialties. You're able to either focus on improving your core abilities or travel across the tree to allocate exotic skills that your class normally wouldn't have access to. Alongside the regular passive skills are Notable and Keystone passives. Notables have slightly larger icons, specific names and larger effects.

When you first start playing Path of Exile and open the Passive Skill Tree P you might feel fairly overwhelmed, but let it not scare you off. Every time you level up or complete specific quests, your character is rewarded a Passive Skill Point that can be used to allocate passive bonuses to your character. Your character can acquire 99 passive skill points from levels, and 22 or 24 skill points from quests depending on which ally you side with in the quest Deal with the Bandits. You also get 20 skill refund points from quests should you make a mistake. If we divide the passive tree roughly into three slices of a pie, each slice has many nodes related to one of the core attributes. While this is not an absolute rule, it is a helpful way of gaining some insight into how the Passive Tree works. All classes have core attributes. For example, the Witch uses intelligent Skill Gems that are blue. Looking at the Skill Passive Tree divided, you see the top section of the tree is mainly blue and has the Witch starter area. This gives you a rough idea of where your skill points section will be and you basically can ignore the other parts of the tree as you define the part of the Skill Tree that you use by your starting area. When you follow one of our build guides these Passive Skill Tree points will already be allocated for you and you simply follow the guide. These provide minor bonuses such as attributes and are needed to reach other types of nodes. The minor attributes contribute to your overall stats and are needed for your items and skills. These provide major passive bonuses and are mostly located at the end of a cluster.
They can significantly boost your character with a massive poe tree but you need to consider if the downside is worth it. If you run out of refund pointsyou can use an Orb of Regret.

The idea was initially introduced with the Echoes of the Atlas 3. The Sentinel League 3. It is currently possible to obtain up to points:. Just like the Passive Skill Tree , it is possible to refund and reassign points as you wish using Refund Points. Those points are acquired by using Orb of Unmaking. These orbs can drop while playing but you can always go to Kirac in order to buy some from him at the cost of 2 Orb of Regret per Orb of Unmaking. With the 3.

With the release of Siege Of The Atlas, we were yet again amazed by a mind boggling Passive Tree to learn and incorporate into our endgame strategies. For newer players, this may be just as overwhelming as first pressing the level up button when progressing through the Twilight Strand. While this is not an exhaustive list of all of the different combinations of mechanics, these are some of our favourites for a variety of gameplay strategies. Some investment into map sustain nodes should be considered absolutely mandatory until one has acquired all four voidstones. Thankfully these nodes are readily available and located reasonably close to each other, allowing us to easily pick them up while speccing into mechanics we enjoy and want to invest in. As a baseline when beginning your atlas journey, we highly recommend optimising the amount of higher tier maps you gain to force your progression up as efficiently as possible. This is intended for newer players who are not comfortable rushing through map tiers. If you are, please see the next entry instead.
