Route 3 is a route to the west of Motostoke and the first step on your way to reaching your goal of Turffield. She can be avoided if you just go through the northern grass. Past Schoolboy Marvin lies Sonia, who is waiting for you and taking a look at the building in the distance. Unlike previous games, the Escape Rope is now a Key Item, meaning it can be used an unlimited number of times, so definitely make use of it if you get lost inside of a cave and want to quickly get back to the entrance. The next few patches of grass have vastly different overworld encounters in them, although the random shaking grass encounters remain the same. Through the patches of grass to the west is a Super Potion , and then directly north of that is the cavern entrance leading into the Galar Mine.

Route 3 is a single long road stretching west of Motostoke , with an intersection in the middle that splits into two before joining back to a single path. An inaccessible path to the north leads to a processing plant that produces energy from the materials mined at the nearby Galar Mine , which the route connects to at the northern end. A secluded cliff on this route can be accessed from within the mine. Route 3 appeared in HZ While making their way to the Galar Mine , Liko , Roy , and Friede got caught in a heavy rainstorm and sought shelter in a mountain hut, where they found a Hatenna. The next day, the group returned to the hut to let Hatenna go. However, having bonded with Liko during her stay at the airship, Hatenna chose to stay with her and let herself be caught by her. Route 3 appeared in Watch Out!! When they arrived at the entrance to the Galar Mine , they encountered Hop , Bede , and Marnie , who had been forced to stop there by a boulder blocking the entrance. With their combined teamwork, the boulder was moved out of the way, although Bede stayed behind to break it with his Hatenna 's Psychic powers and search for Wishing Stars from the resulting rubble.
Each time you shake it, more berries fall to the ground.
Where applicable, note that our walkthrough pages will be down into separate sections referring to each of your visits to a given location, seeing as you often backtrack or revisit various places in your quest to become Galar League Champion. And of course if there are any, we'll clearly mark any spoilers, too! Route 3 is a short and traditional one, leading west from Motostoke City towards the first Galar Mine. In terms of the story, simply proceed through the route until you reach Sonia, who points out a building up ahead that looks like a factory. Apparently it's owned by Chairman Rose, and processes the ore dug up from the mine just up ahead. There's a very small part of the route that is technically Route 3, but only accessible from inside the Galar Mine. In other words: onwards!
This page contains info on hidden collectible locations, appearance rates for any wild Pokemon , and a strategy to navigate towards the Grass Badge. First things first, grab the hidden Big Mushroom chillin' under the tree to the left of the route pole. Not too far past the entrance is your first trainer, Lass Rei. I wonder how long she's been waiting here? She'll send out a Vulpix. If you go through the patch of grass on the left, you can avoid the trainer battle and also pick up the three Heal Balls sitting out in the open.

Before you're able to head into Route 3, Hop will be waiting for you, so you'll have to battle him to be able to continue. After you defeat Hop, he'll hand you one of his League Cards, and you'll be able to head onto Route 3. As you head through the route, you'll meet with Sonia, who will tell you about a building owned by Chairman Rose's company, which transforms ore into energy. She'll comment on Rose's brilliance, and will then hand you the Escape Rope , which is now a Key Item which is reusable, for talking with her. After you've talked to Sonia, keep heading through the route, always proceeding west, until you end up reaching the entrance to Galar Mine. Before doing so, however, you're free to go around collecting items and building up your team if you think it's necessary.
