The prehistoric kingdom velociraptor raptor for Prehistoric Kingdom has been revealed last month and their general appearance is inspired by the greater roadrunner, prehistoric kingdom velociraptor, with the dust devil skin having the colors of the roadrunner. The image of all the skins on the devlog has said dust devil skin running and its frozen pose combined with the skin made me think of the fake latin names in the Wile E Coyote and Road-Runner cartoons, so I made this image as a result of that. I never knew how big road runndees could be until I saw one at the Phoenix Zoo.

In-Game Velociraptor also has an extensive range of calls based on Australian Magpies, their chirps and whistles perhaps make them a contender for the title of most melodic park resident. They arrive expecting a big, boxy, featherless raptor like in the movies… and are always shocked to see how small, slender, and feathery these dinosaurs really are. One of our interpreters loves to carry a replica with him to show to children. It always seems to make a big impression! Velociraptor is well known for having lived alongside Protoceratops , and one wonderfully preserved fossil showed a Velociraptor and Protoceratops engaged in battle.
