Prime volt

Hello, my friend told me to get Prime Volt for Eidelon hunting, however, I don't feel like spending platinum on a frame I already have. Is base Volt prime volt to do Eidelons? Also, prime volt, any other cheaper Primes I can use? We've never done an Eidelon before and I prefer playing support, so something like Wisp or Trinity would be something I'd enjoy playing, Thank you!
