I would not consider myself an AK fanboy. The GF5 has opened my eyes to the AK-world, and it does so at an amazing price. Purchasing from the PSA website is always going to be your best bet. PSA also runs sales very often, so keep an eye on that. I have shot different AKM rifles at media events but my testing of the GF5 would be my first time putting one through its paces. The Magpul furniture felt good, the Zhukov stock folded easily and locked into place well, and best of all the iron sights were straight. I ran the action a few times and it felt pretty smooth for a new AK, it did occasionally hang up on the hammer but this is not unusual with a new rifle. Lastly, I dry fired the ALG trigger and was pleasantly surprised by how good it felt. It is just a single-stage pull but it is smooth the entire way.
