Dear Help! I want to share my experience with a cleaning service using a pumice stone here at our small business, on a marble sink and porcelain toilet. It completely removed whatever protective finish there was on both. Both were cleanable prior to the pumice stone with anything from Formula to bleach to window cleaner and never retained any stains or collected rust in the toilet bowl. After use of the pumice stone, both are only cleanable with bleach. I finally bought one of those things you place in the water tank that releases a little bleach every flush. Otherwise I have to scrub plus bleach every several days. A paper towel soaked in white vinegar and left overnight will clean just about anything off of anything, including mildew and mineral buildup around faucets. If people want to follow the pumice stone directions, I highly recommend finding out if the surfaces you own can really take it. Both our office space and home are older with real porcelain. Maybe the newer materials don't get ruined.
