We encourage all of our athletes to participate in these other programs simultaneously with their QAS training to create a daily training regimen, qas volleyball.

These squads are comprised of athletes who have been identified by Volleyball Australia coaches and National Pathway Talent Identification scouts. This program trains dual discipline, beach and indoor volleyball, twice a week and the scholarship period runs from April to March the following year. We encourage all of our athletes to participate in these other programs simultaneously with their Elite Development training to create a daily training regimen. We are a participation training program as opposed to a volleyball club team that competes targeted towards long-term athlete development to help progress athletes up the volleyball pathway in Australia. Athletes train once per week during school terms, and the trainings typically include specific technical or tactical work which is then developed into gameplay or other gameplay scenarios.

Tryouts TBD at this time. You only need to attend one of the scheduled tryouts. Registration will remain open until July 9th. See the Registration section for more information. Our program begins with 3rd grade children. Volleyball is played in the fall of each year. The season normally begins the weekend prior to Labor Day, and the regular season continues for 11 weeks. No matches are played on Labor Day weekend.

This is the responsibility of qas volleyball game officials. But in essence it is much easier than it sounds if you understand a few basics.

Slack is a triple Olympian, having represented Australia in beach volleyball at the Sydney , Athens and Beijing Olympic Games. Having lived out his own Olympic dreams as an athlete, Slack is looking forward to working with the next generation of volleyballers to help them pursue theirs as a coach. Volleyball Australia High Performance Director Craig Marshall said he looks forward to working closely with Slack on the volleyball program in Queensland. Having known Josh for many years, right through his high-school years, and now as coach of Qld Volleyball, it is a pleasure to say his integrity, honesty, commitment and believe in our upcoming upcoming youth and seniors is superior to none. Volleyball Queensland VQ is the state organisation for volleyball focused on increasing participation and pathways in all forms of indoor volleyball and beach volleyball throughout Queensland. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo Beach volleyball is a team sport played by two teams of two players on a sand court divided by a net. Each team works in unison to prevent the opposing team from grounding the ball on their side of the court. Spikezone is a program for primary school players.
