When hospice patient, Dawn, was admitted to Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care, the path of her life started to change. When the time comes that a cure is no longer probable, hospice provides comfort and support to patients and families so they can focus on what matters most—living life. Palliative care is available to help patients who are diagnosed with nearly any disease that causes chronic pain or other discomforting symptoms. The goal is to ease the burden of symptoms caused by the disease or by other treatments such as chemotherapy. Dealing with illness can be a complicated process with lots of information.
