We are strongly considering taking him and giving him a good home but some of the issues I have not had with my other dogs , he barks at anyone who I stop and talk to and usually growels at anyone who approaches him , small children cause him anxiety and he again growels at them. I firmly believe most dogs show aggression through fear and anxiety but certain things raise red flags with me , my youngest spent the whole day walking him with us in the Peak District and the dog was fine yet the day after the dog barked every time my son walked into the room this then progressed to growling if he went near the dog.

He is not nasty or aggressive at all, he is just too big for us and our house, he has lots of energy and can be a bit jumpy but he is still a pup so he needs to be with a family with much older children or a couple who can spend more time with him with no little ones running about. We have tried selling him privately, we have tried through the vets and a cockapoo rehoming site, but no one seems to want him. We can't take him back to the breeder, so we are now stuck. If anyone would like some pictures of him, I can email them to you. Please can anyone help??? Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions.

We carefully screen all potential adopters to ensure our rescued dogs go to a safe home. The adoption process starts with submitting an adoption application, followed by a phone interview, checking personal references and a home safety check. After an applicant is approved, we work with the applicant to suggest a dog that meets their preferences, based on personalities and lifestyle for a made-to-last relationship.
