He responded hear audio below : "It's a beautiful song. It's really well written. He was such a good songwriter. And producers, I'm sure, had their way with it a little bit, and the arrangers in the band obviously played it, and that's what made it WARRANT ; it wasn't just a solo thing for him. But those songs stick with so many people. You see that. You generally get an actual sense, and I definitely wanna maximize that, and I get 'em all — cell phones, lighters, hands up in the air; whatever they need to do — singing along and the whole thing. It's one of the songs I get to play on too, so I play guitar. And I'm not as much running around as I am standing in front of a microphone, because both my hands are busy.

Much of the reason the album felt hard, heavy and fresh was the creative energy of new Warrant vocalist Robert Mason. To the fans delight, Mason also could write songs, perform the old tunes well, and be an energetic front man.

I find that everybody comes into it with a story. I would love to do that and I would love it to come out on vinyl. Mason has been with the band ever since. No one can replace the original Jani Lane in his heyday, but rest assured, one would have a hard time today replacing Robert Mason! It was a really natural fit and all of the parts came together.

Tell me about your first major label appearance. That ended up being one of those things that fell to the wayside. And then in I joined Lynch Mob.

We have not been milking this record or taking our time or anything like that. Robert: Well… we take more Advil [laughter]. Jeb: Did you guys do a live album yet? I had another thing I was trying to do at the time. I hear an influence. Mason has been with the band ever since. Maybe there are people out there that are that good and that confident. We are older. I am a Warrant fan, too, in a lot of ways. Jeb: Let me ask you a tough question. Robert Plant and Freddie Mercury are great. Robert: Exactly. I think four or five ended up on the record that were just mine.
