I recently switched over to Rogers from Bell, and I am so far very frustrated by what Rogers is doing with this service. Why do that? So, the next step was to configure each Still, it's not working. I just received a new internet router from Rogers. Their is no name on the router, it's made in Vietnam and settings are through Easy Connect. I can't seem to find anywhere where I can type in a DNS address. I have a Raspberry Pi that runs an advertising filter. To make it work across my network, I need to add it's ip address as a DNS. I've never tried to use a local IP address for that entry. It should work, but I've never done it. Don't know anything about those unfortunately. The XB6 product stickers are found on the bottom of the modem. Out of curiosity, what are you using for a DNS program on the Pi? Does that work as the operating system as well, or do you have an operating system running with the DNS program on top of that?

If you want to use a non-Rogers DNS service, you need to manually configure that into every computer on your internal network.

It works like a charm but my oldest boy has figured out how to bypass DNS on his chromebook and switched to google dns. Is there a way to make a rule of some sorts that enforces DNS on my coda modem. Most of the Rogers parental control are not as configurable as open dns so I really want to use that with a rule to enforce dns on the router level. Any ideas anyone? Unfortunately I dont think so. The real problem is, that in most cases like this one, is that the DNS is over-writable on the device itself. I think the only option really would be to lock down the device.. KamWest I believe that since your son has figured out how to switch DNS providers, you're beyond the capability of the modem and most routers to counter that capability.
