Route 8 - Muraille Coast is a long route in coastal Kalos. It connects Connecting Cave in the northeast with Ambrette Town in the south.

Route 8 , also known as Muraille Coast , is a route in the Kalos region. The upper section, linking Connecting Cave and Ambrette Town , is located in a cliffside. It includes a series of ledge maze, patches of grass and yellow flowers, a boulder that is able to be moved by Strength and hop-able small platforms. The lower section is a vast sandy beach and a small part of ocean, accessible from the Ambrette Aquarium and Cyllage City.

It consists of two different paths. The upper section of Muraille Coast is a rocky mountain road, whose cliffs offer a clear and magnificent view to the sandy beach and ocean below. Despite the rocky environment, tall grass and colorful flowers can be found growing here. Many ledges restrict the player 's movements here, although some of them can be circled around. Due to the high altitudes present on the route, Sky Trainers tend to be present on the cliffs. The lower section of Muraille Coast can be accessed from the bottom floor of the Ambrette Aquarium, and it consists of a bright, sandy beach and a slice of ocean. A Mago Berry tree is growing in the southern area of the route. Many rocks can also be found across the beach, especially near the south end. Some of these rocks can be broken with Rock Smash. One such rock is blocking access to a Trainer Tips sign, which will notice the player being able to use Rock Smash to reach it. A female Swimmer will prevent the player from going through a certain point of the beach until they've obtained a Fossil from the Scientist in Glittering Cave , after which she'll give the player a Dowsing Machine , making locating hidden items a lot easier.

From the Black Belt, go to the southeast, and go south through some grass.

Go west and walk down the stairs. Go north from the Route 8 road sign and walk east along the narrow path. Check on the rock to find a hidden Super Potion. Go west from there and go to the northwest corner of this area, then hop down the ledge. Then hop down the ledge on the left. Then hop down either of the two downward ledges.

Two major paths lead from the city center. To the east on top of the bike ramp, the Connecting Cave allows for travel to Route 7 which leads to Camphrier Town , however the entrance to the city is initially blocked off by a rock movable by Strength. The city has a beach to the west with breakable rocks spread around. The city of peaceful strolls. The city has a bicycle track laid around. Towards the north lays Hotel Cyllage and a boutique selling clothes. The Cycle Shop owner gives the player a Bicycle. It is located on the hill, cut in the rock.
