Ryobi BS Bandsaw Review. Assembly The BS comes extremely well packed like the BT tablesaw , I suspect all of the larger Ryobi tools are similarly well packed. The machine goes together very quickly with a minimum of fuss. The instructions are good but the assembly is so simple you may not need to reference them much. It took me a mere 45 minutes to assemble the machine and nearly all of that was in the stand itself. The machine required very little in the way of alignment. Basically it amounts to setting the 90 degree angle of the table with a set screws and adjusting the blade guide bearings; something that can be done in just a few minutes. Click to enlarge Features I mentioned that the BS is "feature rich". What I mean by that is the machine has several features that have been integrated into the design, these features are usually not included on machines costing quite a bit more. There are two sets of LED work lights on the machine, one set spotlights the cutting area and the other illuminates the blade riding on the top wheel through a window in the case. These are turned on via a switch in the plastic cover. The expanding table is large with more area than typically found on larger, more costly machines. I did find that the table was somewhat easy to tweak out of it's locked in angle.
