When I researched her, I found this amazing looking series, and had to post it. James has always had one agenda: destroy his enemy, Peter Michaels. Seduce the girl and use her for his revenge. Anyway, I hate that I didn't like this, and I hate that I'll have to wait one more month to get my Never After fix, especially after this disastrous adventure. The thing is one is his own brother who he bullied,scarred and treated like shit! But she never expects the Scarred Prince. It is another spicy dark fantasy retelling that is perfection! I'll go ahead and stop here and say maybe I have too high of exceptions, but I wish at least some of this was explained as it all very much ties into the characters and their motivations. Honestly, this isn't even that dark. It just made the book even better than it already is because the lion king is my favourite Disney movie everrrr! Totally recommend it. Sara seeks to avenge her dead father and overthrow and rid the world of the Faasa family. Tristan has his own motivations that are later revealed, but I'll just say he hates his brother and seemingly the whole idea of their royal family. I didn't love the first book in this Never After series, so I don't plan on continuing with the series or author. I would've liked it more if some things weren't skipped just to make this book a few pages short.
