Sans is the older brother of Papyrusand is a major character in the Undertale AU, UnderSwap by P0pc0rnPr1nce, in this AU, instead of being a laid back, lazy, and smart skeleton like in Undertale, Sans has a role in the story and personality more similar to Papyrus, and with Papyrus the opposite happens. Sans is a fairly short sans underswap overweight skeleton with a large mouth and eyes, tall nose, sans underswap, and eyebrows, along sans underswap that his pupils are two hollow blue circles inside each other.

He has a dream of seeing a human. A couple of his disadvantages are that he is almost as weak as Canon Sans, leading to the guard denying him a position in the Royal Guard. However, he is very cheerful, and much more energetic than Undertale Sans. He is also very positive, and enjoys making tacos for his friends. He also retain Canon Sans' Karmic Retribution. Underswap Sans is similar to Canon Papyrus in a lot of ways, but there are also some differences! He also collects Sci-Fi figures instead of action figures. He is often referred to as "Blueberry" by fans because most of them find him cute, along with the fact that most of his clothing is blue. However, Blueberry is a fanon rendition of Underswap Sans. He appears to be more cute, innocent, and sometimes more baby-like unlike the original Underswap Sans.

Under the alias Crossbones , he is a vigilante superhero sworn to protect the Starlight Isles from danger, and is the arch nemesis of the dastardly Koffin-K. He is the first monster the protagonist interacts with upon exiting Ruined Home , and serves as the main boss of the area. As his vigilante persona Crossbones, he wears brown boots with gray tips, dark blue sweatpants with two light blue stripes on each side, a light blue jacket with grey sleeves adorned with two bones arranged to shape a cross possibly his logo while under the Crossbones persona , a blue cape, and a light blue mask to conceal his identity. When either serious or angry, Sans' pupils will disappear, a detail that was also shown in Undertale. As the masked vigilante Crossbones, he is very serious and dutiful in his heroic efforts of protecting the Starlight Isles and it can be assumed that the same could be said for capturing humans. However, the names for some of his superhero gear can sound somewhat immature, mainly his "bed sheet of justice" and "Punishment Shack", and puts on a dramatic and stunning persona when he's wearing the mask.

Sans wears a ripped scarf with a long cape, along with grey armour with cyan trims and a white shirt underneath, he wears dark blue pants that tuck into his blue boots with dark blue soles and heels. He's also biologically different from Undertale Sans, with his mouth being able to open when talking, showing a bright cyan tongue the same colour as his eyes. We know very little about UnderSwap Sans' in battle actions beside the fact he seems to be more animated then Undertale Papyrus, holding a cyan bone and jumping around in the first art of the AU. When killed, instead of his body turning to dust and his head falling to the floor akin to Undertale Papyrus, he begins to blood a red, blood like substance, while on his knees. The human in UnderSwap has no information on them, but it is highly head cannoned that Frisk swaps with Chara.
