Yet, there are enough indications that he is in danger of some sort. Perhaps the biggest indication that Sasuke is in some kind of danger is the fact that the age of Shinobi is, apparently, over. In the prologue of Boruto, Boruto Uzumaki exclaims that the age of Shinobi is finally over. This event is from the future and during this short prologue, fans get to see the entirety of Konoha being utterly destroyed.

Surprisingly, in the prologue of Boruto, fans see Boruto Uzumaki wearing Sasuke's very own cloak, and, at the same time, carrying his own weapon as well, which is, the sword of the Kusanagi. Boruto then announced a hiatus and, eventually, it was revealed that Part 1 would officially conclude here and that a new sasuke dies, called Boruto: Two Blue Vortex would now start.
