Boruto then announced a hiatus and, eventually, it was revealed that Part 1 would officially conclude here and that a new sasuke dies, called Boruto: Two Blue Vortex would now start. Of course, Boruto was announced not long after and it was a chance for the fans to see their favorite characters once again. This was certainly extremely exciting for the fans, however, ever since the beginning of Boruto , the roles of these two main characters have been dwindling. Naruto Uzumaki has been permanently sealed away and while Sasuke is still relatively okay, he might be dealt a much worse fate very soon, and of course, fans are already dreading this. From the very beginning of the Boruto series, it was quite clear that Sasuke was only to take the role of a side character. This didn't come as a surprise to the fans, given that this was the story of Boruto Uzumaki and not the ninjas of the old generation. However, given the importance of Naruto and Sasuke , fans expected these two, especially, to be involved in the major events of the story.

Momoshiki was an incredibly powerful enemy and his arrival at the beginning of Boruto meant that even stronger enemies would emerge later down the line and this did not paint a good picture for the heroes of the old series. However, recent events have seen to it that he too has been nerfed just like Naruto himself. This fight might be Boruto's toughest challenge yet, not only due to the opponent's strength but also because of the emotional attachment he has to his mentor. It has been clarified in the story already that Sasuke ended up fighting against Code during the timeskip. What's more, both Boruto and Kawaki would not have been able to claim that the age of shinobi is over. This would also imply that Sasuke will make his appearance very soon, just as Koji does as well. There has been a lot of speculation about Sasuke since the beginning of the manga's second part, and it has been a fairly accepted theory that something terrible would happen to him, most likely death, but the recent chapter shows that what actually happened to him is so much worse than death. Sasuke Uchiha is one of the most important characters in the world of Naruto and Boruto. Although Sasuke is currently missing in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, fans should expect his return soon, as he is too important of a character to be killed off-screen, and his absence may be due to incapacitation rather than death.

If someone like Code, or any other Otsutsuki threat requires his attention, Sasuke will certainly see to it and leave Kawaki to Boruto. While Naruto was trapped in a different dimension by Kawaki, the fate of Sasuke remains up in the air. Fans have come to love him just as much as they love Naruto Uzumaki over the course of the years. Or, perhaps, Sasuke ended up falling in battle and Boruto took it upon himself to claim what was left of his master and take down Kawaki. However, fans do not know exactly what has happened to the master of the Sharingan over the timeskip of the story.
