Old-fashioned ones still exist, and the best of that breed are among my favourites. Here are a few of my top picks, well suited to the current era, to consider for this summer. House tours include the open roof deck; you can lunch alfresco in the wildflower garden; Wells-next-the-Sea and Blakeney are within easy reach.
