The maps in EfT can be daunting, with lots of information to learn in order to effectively make your way through a raid. From spawns and to extracts, to good loot spots and areas where enemies are likely to be, understanding the locations and points of interest is one of the most critical parts of playing Escape From Tarkov.

Customs is a location in Escape from Tarkov. It is the second map that was added to the game. A large area of industrial park land situated adjacent to the factory zone. The area houses a customs terminal, fuel storage facilities, offices, and dorms, as well as a variety of other infrastructure and buildings. The Dorms are two buildings located in the southernmost area of the map. The eastern building is three stories tall while the western building is two stories tall. Each structure boasts a front entrance and a fire escape at each end with doorways leading to each floor some of which are blocked or permanently locked. These dorms are the location of many quests and unlockable rooms. Construction is a two story concrete frame of a building. This structure has a wide view of the river crossings and bridge.

While many of the early quests will have you jumping into the Escape From Tarkov Customs map, there is plenty to learn and find within this trade intersection. Often touted as the best Escape From Tarkov map for beginners, Customs is also a fantastic place to go for some great PvP too. The single most important thing to know on any map you decide to raid in Escape From Tarkov is how and where to get out. Like all maps your extract points are dependent on your spawn point, with the rough logic being that your extractions are on the opposite side of the map to where you spawned. Alongside this there are a number of situational extracts that are either bound by time, circumstance, or single use. Additionally, there are separate extracts for PMCs and Scavs, and a handful that both can take. If your backpack is already full to the brim, the last thing you want is to run into another player who might take all that away, so knowing about these spots is a great way to minimise that chance. One of the coolest looking extractions on Customs is Smugglers Boat, you literally are loading onto a little boat to escape, how sick is that. Other players will likely be gunning for this loot, so be ready for heavy fire. Along with that, this is a common place for SCAVs to spawn, so move with caution. The Old Gas Station Scav Extraction is right behind the gas station with a health bag spawn right next to it. As a scav only extraction, Factory Shacks is a great extraction point on Customs if you are venturing into Dorms. It is a bunker with a rebar gate blocking the entrance. You can loot the warehouses around the extraction before heading out which can provide some great loot close to your extraction.
