Killing other PMCs could be an option, but it should be your last resort. This means that the PMCs will also have an advantage in position , and they will be able to loot locations before you.

Scav Raiders naturally spawn throughout Lab location, as well as having a chance to spawn upon activating any of the extraction switches, roaming towards the activation location. There's an economic system present within Escape From Tarkov which means that high-value raids are equal parts exciting as they are lucrative to the player, and there are a few spots in the game that are especially valuable. For some players, the prospect of raiding as a PMC is daunting - it means that if they die, they lose everything that they entered the raid with. There's an alternative, though - players can run as a ' scav ', a randomly-generated character with low-level weapons and equipment, but everything that the scav character loots while under the control of the player counts towards their overall riches. There are some locations in Tarkov that, as a scav, players must simply check every time they raid in. Originally, the 'Drop Down Room' in Reserve was supposed to be contained behind a locked door. However, there's a trick that a player can perform, which involves jumping out of a window in a specific way, that gains them access to the room even if the door is locked.
