Incumbent will receive and respond to complex SCEIS related issues by telephone, email and requests for technical support. Other job duties include: Troubleshooting problems to determine probable cause; Providing follow-up status in accordance with specific support policies and procedures; Contributing to a team-based environment in which staff members exchange knowledge and information to facilitate the best possible customer service; Providing effective support and positive interaction with users of assigned systems, employing understanding of broad and effective use of SCEIS system modules; Maintaining a good understanding of technical support documentation and business processes supported by the assigned modules; Working independently as well as within a team environment; Providing front-line end-user support for over 40, SCEIS users and state vendors; Documenting and tracking incidents and user requests to ensure timely resolution; Performs other duties as required. Minimum Requirements: Associate's degree in a related area; or high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications systems or networks, or data processing systems; Or an approved equivalence by the Division of State Human Resources; and at least one year of direct support to end-users of information systems, or relevant experience in a customer support environment. Must be able to adapt and respond quickly to matters of high importance relating to users throughout the state. Must have the ability to identify problems and minimize downtime by rapidly diagnosing and resolving the incident or properly escalating to a higher tier resources for resolution.
