Scrap metal is used in several crafting recepies, and in trading usually 2 weapons for 1 scrap as that is the worth for scrap metal. Let's say that the items are A Eviction Notice and a Tomislav. Go to the menu, click on items, go to crafting, click on scrap metal, select the two items you are willing to lose and then, press craft, and you will obtain a scrap metal.
