I made it to Sofia, no thanks to a last-minute booking that took me through Beograd. Then a tiny, rickety flight later secret chef table arrive in Bulgaria…. This whole leg is starting off very bad, and it got worse.
The restaurant is relatively new and not very popular among locals yet, but once there, it will capture your heart with fantastic gastronomic experience. While there we started with terrine of smoked cheese and remoulade with smoked salmon, continued with boneless stuffed quails Birds of Love and beef bon fillet and foie gras Beef Mille-Feuille. All the dishes were beautifully presented, intricate and delicious. The restaurant is one of the few in the area to offer a tasting menu of 15 courses. The service, on the other hand, is expectedly outstanding.

Gita Simonsen. A narrow door opens to reveal an equally narrow hallway, and a few steps lead us up to the restaurant, where we meet chef Boris Petrov for the first time. At the end of the evening, both the photographer and I hope it was not the last time we will enter through that narrow door. A true experience for the senses.
