Police are investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a Springfield man and the injury of a woman, and seeking the suspected shooter. More information will be available when charges have been filed. Springfield Police Department officers responded at p. Tuesday to a report of gunshots fired from vehicles at Grant Avenue and College Street, according to a press release from the department. At the intersection of College and Campbell streets, officers located a vehicle driven by Chaviz Nguyen, 26, of Springfield. Nguyen and an unidentified female passenger had been wounded by gunshots. Nguyen died at the scene as emergency responders attempted to resuscitate him, according to the report.
