Sika Strength Weightlifting 2. Leading on from our original weightlifting blocks, the Weightlifting 2. So you will peak for maximum lifts on Week 12 of the program. If you are peaking for competition, you should start this program 13 weeks out, with your final week of training being a taper week. Please only use recent max lift inputs, historical max lift numbers are not important, and your inputs should be reflective of your current abilities on Day 1 of the program. We pride ourselves on our tried and tested approach to Strength Training, through challenging but always achievable progressive overload. Each block leads on from the previous block and aims to bring on the Squat, Bench and Deadlift through the use of both the competition lifts and the auxiliary lifts. An often overlooked area of Powerlifting programs is their attention to Accessory Lifts, our program includes these exercises at the end of each session and will work to combat muscular-imbalances, postural weakness and hypertrophy of essential muscle groups. I have been following the Sika Strength powerlifting blocks alongside others for two years now, and can easily say that they have been the best coaching experience I have ever taken in my life. Before that I was a regular gym-goer and tried out more fitness-based programs, then I discovered powerlifting and got completely hooked up, though I did not know how to structure a program efficiently. I feel I have definitely become a better athlete, not only interested in powerlifting but in strength in general. I would like to point out that the most essential things in Sika Strength are the interest that Eoin and Daire have to make you feel more comfortable with your own body, the community feeling in their live feedback sessions, and how they strive to make customers acquire actual science-based knowledge in their programs. As I said, before enrolling in the PL blocks I was going to the gym mostly for aesthetic reasons, whereas now I am more aware that it is not about how shredded you look but how much you push the boundaries of what your body can do, and that you should celebrate your abilities and knowledge as a gym-goer.
