My question is has anybody done one of these with the stock ski-doo handguards? It looks like the guard will get in the way of the throttle cable. Any pics would be much appreciated. Has anyone tried a Munster or other design and gone back to a thumb throttle? AVS Forum. I'm aware of the legal issues that stopped manufacturers from using them. I ran with it last year. On a normal throttle setup if you hit a tree right there, you would do some serious damage to your hand in my opinion. Two seasons on the Munster finger throttle and loving it! For heat issues, I used a dremel and remove some material from the front of the trigger as it is quite thick and I got much better heat transfer to my finger.
