Apocrypha is Hermaeus Mora 's plane of Oblivion. It is an endless library where all forbidden knowledge can be found, with stacks of books reaching towards the glowing green sky. You can enter the plane via Black Books found in dungeons and other locations throughout Solstheim. The realm is inhabited by Daedra called Seekers and Lurkers. Tentacles constantly breach the acidic dark waters and sometimes whip at you, causing a significant amount of damage if they manage to hit you. The acidic waters with the tentacles are also corrosive and cause damage if stepped in.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is chock-full of challenging puzzles that players must solve either to progress the story or to unlock a hidden area in a dungeon. Most puzzles in the game tend to have pretty straightforward solutions, but there are a few exceptions. As part of Skyrim 's Dragonborn DLC, players must travel to Solstheim and uncover the reason why some of the island's inhabitants are acting strangely. Toward the climax of the questline, the Dragonborn will need to travel to Apocrypha, Hermaeus Mora's dominion in Oblivion, and find and confront Miraak, the first Dragonborn. In order to do this, however, they will need to solve the book puzzle during the "At the Summit of Apocrypha" quest. Once players have completed the main quest, "The Gardener of Men," and unlocked all three words of the Bend Will Shout , the "At the Summit of Apocrypha" quest will begin. In this quest, players will need to return to Apocrypha in order to confront Miraak. Upon returning to Hermaeus Mora's domain, players will need to navigate through a series of confusing rooms in order to find and defeat Miraak. In the "Chapter V" room, a puzzle involving four books must be solved, but in order to solve it, players will first need to acquire the four books scattered throughout each area. Thankfully, the only way to reach the "Chapter V" room is to first collect the books, as doing so opens the way forward. In the "Chapter V" room, the Dragonborn will be faced with four pedestals on which the books they collected can be placed.

For more hardcore RPG fans, they might appreciate just how much detail goes into some of the franchise's smaller details. Take Skyrim's Apocrypha as an example. Braving this area is no small task for players, but those willing to dig a little deeper can find some truly cool details.
To finally face off against Miraak , read the Black Book: Waking Dreams to return to the area of Apocrypha you first met him in. Travel through the different 'Chapters' of the book and at last you will come upon Miraak's Serpentine Dragon. Use the Bend Will Shout on the Dragon to make it land and ride it. Hang on as the Dragon flies through Apocrypha and gives you a brief tutorial on dragon riding before depositing you at the summit of Apocrypha where Miraak awaits you. He is a dangerous foe, and will utilize Dragon shouts against you while defending himself with the Dragon Aspect Shout.

Though this area is large, there's little of interest here now that Miraak has departed, only a few pods and tables along the walls. Walk down the path and up the staircase, where Chapter II will be accessible from a pedestal. Ascend the stairs and defeat the two seekers. If you make enough noise, you can attract the attention of enemies far above you, but it is unlikely that you will be able to attack each other, so if you need to leave combat, just sneak until they stop looking for you.
