The game was developed in secret by Cavemanon shortly after the announcement of Goodbye Volcano High, and the game was released a year later on June 4th, The game also received subsequent patches that fixed bugs, finished CGs, and added new content to the game, the most recent patch released on January 6th, The game proved controversial, as some felt it was high quality while others criticized its writing and the apparent politics of the game, with some arguing that the game's only "good ending" is due to the player romancing the non-binary Fang into deciding she is a woman. The game proved controversial online, as some users mocked the character designs and art style of the game, as well as being featured alongside many prolific titles from PlayStation.
