It turned out it was Indian taco day, and folks come in from all over the area for that dish. I heard some people say they came from Hectorville and others from Council Hill. When we dined there on a Saturday afternoon, it also was crowded for the time of day. Admittedly, the restaurant has only six booths, six tables and four counter seats, but it still was impressive. I was told that the kitchen staff hand breads its onion rings and chicken-fried steak and that most of the dishes are made from scratch, including a variety of pies.

We opted to just order a regular catfish dinner which consists of six pieces not large ones of catfish, hushpuppies, French fries, and Cole slaw. The place was packed but that didn't keep the service from being great. The food came out and was so hot you couldn't pick a piece of catfish up for a few minutes.
