Everyday we see clients slumping because of poor postural habits. By stretching the musculoskeletal system, inhibited muscles are reengaged and overactive muscles become disengaged. Stretching will allow you to adapt and maintain a more efficient posture throughout the afternoon. Studies have found nerve impulse velocity increases after stretching. An impulse refers to the speed the nerve signals travel from the brain to the muscular system. As the neural system becomes more responsive there will be an increase in coordination between different muscles. This will result in an ability to resist against those poor habits.

Stretching improves the range of motion in your joints and muscles, promoting easier movement and functional mobility. Eliminate aches and pains, banish your stiffness and joint pain and improve your energy levels helping you to feel open and refreshed. Stretching increases the blood flow throughout your body which helps to reduce injury risk and efficiently deliver nutrients to all parts of your body. Increased flexibility allows you to access more of your muscle to develop them. Stretching also helps muscle recovery and relieve soreness. A flexologist works within your limitations and is trained to match the resistance of your body and muscles. This means they pay close attention as to how far they can stretch you.

What should I expect at my first session? Be prepared to feel amazing after your first Assisted Stretch! They will explain how the session will run and instruct you on a simple breathing technique. Stretches are performed on one of our custom made beds. Throughout the assisted stretch your Flexologist will be communicating with you to determine your comfort level. Are your flexologists certified, what certification do they have? Our Flexologists are certified trained to work in our studios. A background in the above is a pre-requisite to be hired. All of our Flexologists go through an in-house Flexology Certification Program designed and facilitated by a Doctor and Integrative Therapist. We also have available clothing for you to borrow and change into if you are coming straight from work.
