I searched far and wide for some of the best spots, but it turns out some of the best sushi I've ever had was right around the corner from my hotel. I went during their lunch hour at the start of the day. The restaurant is decent-sized, featuring two large tables, light wood color schemes, and multiple counter-seats. Their English menu offers a handful of omakase options, while the Japanese menu provides both omakase and a la carte options. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and by the end of my meal, the chefs had gained a new friend. I got their "special" selection, which included 11 pieces and a roll. I re-ordered the Unagi and Chu-Toro twice during my first lunch there.

The search for the best sushi in Osaka ends at this year-old beloved sushi restaurant. Endo Sushi is probably the only place open at odd hours, owing to its prime location within the Osaka Central Fish market. Somewhere in downtown Osaka, the Koyoshi offers the best, authentic sushi experience in Osaka. This year-old restaurant is run by an old couple, Mr and Mrs Yano, at the corner of a street. The tiny food bar only accommodates around 12 people at a time, so be prepared to squeeze your way down. Everything here is extremely fresh and delicious. Happy Eating!
