This update provides further details in relation to the scope of the appliances affected by the recall, and updated advice on the actions for owners of the Swift series cooker. The manufacturer has identified that on some cookers manufactured before 1 June , the gas pipe on the front left hotplate burner may break without warning. This can cause a significant gas leak that may ignite and explode. It is recommended that consumers with a cooker manufactured in this date range ensure that the front left burner control knob is in the off position and should remove the knob and store it out of reach of children and other users. Please note that cookers manufactured before 1 January are currently under investigation by the manufacturer and the scope of the recall may be adjusted once the investigation is complete.
