Swtor empire vs republic
By jnrose September 22, in Story and Lore. If I can The Sith Empire tries to pass itself off as a meritocracy.
By Socialist August 18, in General Discussion. I know this is a topic as ancient as this forum, however, I'd like to see some new and fresh opinions from the folks that weren't here since day one. For myself, I love the Empire. Firstly because it is fair and egalitarian when you look beyond the obvious. I mean, anyone can get anywhere in the Empire, as long as you are strong with the Force and got a bit of wits. Just see the warrior's and inquisitor's story. As a Sith, you are free to take charge of your own destiny.

Which Faction do you prefer and why? I'd like to say that I enjoy the Republic more but I just can't. The Republic has been my choice ever since beta because of the lore, the diversity and planets like Coruscant which I adore, but I find myself playing Empire characters a lot more. The dialogue options and character looks are more interesting on the Empire side to me. Tython, while cool to look at is so boring.
It was awesome seeing a 3rd faction with Imps and Pubs coming together for the good of the galaxy. The issue the current storyline seems to be having is there is no clear cut big bad to take on. I don't know why, swtor empire vs republic, but I could never really get into the Republic storylines - save for the Jedi Knight.
By lawfig February 18, in Story and Lore. I have a question about the choice to side with the empire or republic, or rejoin the empire or the republic. At what point will this really matter. Zero difference so far. Granted, I paused while running both in same place and there was nothing to indicate that my agent traitor to the empire acted any differently than my empire loyalist.
By Orestess December 21, in General Discussion. Good to hear. I'm on an RP server on the Sith side living out my "sociopath" fantasies. I play a Light Side Sith Assassin. I will never have my fill of being evil because I choose all the good conversations and still get to play the class I like the most. Jedi Shadow feels boring even though it's the mirror class. Light Side Bounty Hunter here. To be honest, playing republic I switched due to getting sick of huttbal, huttbal, huttbal isn't nearly as lame as I thought it would be. Actually, all the corruption, evil stuff within the republic as a Trooper is a lot of fun and the storyline is enjoyable and the smart-assedness of my smuggler makes me lol a lot. Jedi is a tad overly goody-goody, just like sith is a tad overly baddy-baddy.

I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed the Republic side. Going into the game I thought I'd be all-Sith all-the-time, and my first two classes were both Imperial, but the Smuggler and Jedi Knight ended up being a lot more fun than I expected. Empire is made of talentless, solo wannabe, no teamwork, no tactic, argumentative, whining douchebags who have a few people amongst them that despair at the lack of even a remote ability to play the game tactically like they should.

I would say the fact that you have millions of people spending their spare time playing a video game is a lot more telling. It seems that on the Republic side, except for the Smuggler, your character wind up just another cog in the political machine. I can't take it seriously. DiogoShadowJorg 8 years ago 3. All my Imperials remain Independent because it means being Independent. Because playing a light side Sith Warrior is some of the most fun I've had in a while. Go to topic listing. Plus I like the focus 4. But in general I prefer the Republic's more mature players. EvanSnowWolf Posted January 12, Paulsutherland Posted March 21,
By cdstephen January 24, in Story and Lore. Does anyone know if the storylines available to each faction are compatible with each other? Because they do different things on each planet, and as an exclusively Imperial player I'm not sure if they are compatible with each other.
This is one of the few games where you can play a truly evil character if you wish, and in that respect Empire side has a much better set storyline than Republic does to that end. I think, with their current development capabilities, BW needs to return to 2. And oddly, on Makeb,. I could care less about Jedi titles as if that makes things so enticing. EpickFaill Posted August 18, How Darth Malgus survive after false emperor flashpoint, is a mystery Darth Rivix is a mystery, they keep teasing that he has other plans Why does darth Malgus want to fulfill his vision of a "galaxy in flames", is another mystery I do find 2. DiogoShadowJorg 8 years ago 3. Posted September 24, edited. Go to topic listing. The Republic is far from perfect. Empire, coz jedis sucks. For the rest of the classes, I'd say the Jedi Consular story is awfully boring at the start. Villains, while of course morally wrong, make for great characters and enthralling stories.
You are mistaken. I can defend the position. Write to me in PM, we will talk.
What turns out?
I have forgotten to remind you.
