In a shocking turn of events, E4 Entertainment has announced that they were unhappy with the final version of the film and that the film will be re-shot completely with Dhruv Vikram playing the lead role. Now, the former has said, "We, at E4 Entertainment, are not at all happy with the final version handed over to us and due to various creative and other differences, we have decided not to release this version. Instead, we will start afresh, and shoot a new version of 'Arjun Reddy' with Dhruv as the main lead staying true to the soul and intention of the original. Going by the press release, it looks like director Bala and members of E4 Entertainment had a major fallout as he will also be replaced in the new version of Varmaa. The official announcement regarding the cast and crew of the film will be announced shortly. The press release also read, "Despite this unfortunate turn of events which cost us heavily, our love for wanting to see this cult film in Tamil has not diminished in any way. We will, therefore, work tirelessly as a new united team towards a June release. Now, it is unclear whether all of them would be replaced or not. Later, it was announced that the release has been postponed. At the launch of Varmaa, Dhruv Vikram said that he felt comfortable because of director Bala's presence on the sets. Arjun Reddy is a Indian Telugu -language romantic drama film written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga in his directoral debut and produced by his brother Pranay Reddy Vanga's company Bhadrakali Pictures. The film tells the story of Arjun Reddy Deshmukh Deverakonda , a rich and alcoholic surgeon, who has Schizotypal Personality Disorder that causes anger management problems. Arjun is on a self-destructive path after the marriage of his girlfriend Preethi Shetty Pandey ; the film focuses on his downfall and subsequent resurgence. Arjun Reddy was partially inspired by Sandeep Vanga's life as a physiotherapy student. He worked on the script for two years and it took four to five years for the film to materialise. Principal photography commenced on 20 June at Hyderabad and took 86 working days to complete.

Now it has been made official that this new version is named Adithya Varma. With Gireesaya, a former associate of Sandeep Vanga, directing this, veteran cinematographer Ravi K Chandran has been finalised as the Director of Photography. Here it is..!!
