This article is about Nana Shimura 's grandson. He is the leader of the League of Villains , making his first major appearance as one of the main antagonists of the U. He was raised by his master, All For One , with the goal to kill All Might , the "Symbol of Peace", and ultimately destroying the society he represents. As a result, All For One's vestige seized control of his body and tried to merge the two of them into a new being. Eventually, Tomura was able to thwart his master's attempt at usurping his body and soul, reclaiming autonomy and declaring himself Izuku Midoriya 's archenemy. Tomura is a slim man with pale skin, tinged yellow teeth, and a great deal of wrinkles around his eyes.

Tomura Shigaraki has made himself out to be one of the evilest, most irredeemable characters in all of My Hero Academia. Not only does he have an uncontrollable urge to destroy, but he has the power, resources, and the Quirks to do it. For how dangerous this man has become, it's hard to imagine a situation where stopping him doesn't involve lethal force. Despite all this, Deku is determined to somehow "save" the little boy once known as Tenko Shimura. Considering what a monster Shigaraki is and everything he's done, this sounds absurdly idealistic. However, perhaps there is a way to reach out to Tenko. It's possible that Tomura Shigaraki and Tenko Shimura are two different personalities inhabiting the same body. If that's the case, then all Deku needs to do is find a way to separate the two entities; from there, Tenko would be "saved," and the Heroes can do whatever they want with Shigaraki. Of course, this all depends on whether Tenko and Shigaraki are separate beings and whether Kohei Horikoshi means to write the story this way. With that said, there are plenty of ways the story thus far can accommodate this potential twist, as well as ways to build off of it. The basis of this theory comes from a fundamental concept behind Quirks. It's a well-established fact that Quirks can have a direct influence on the user's personality. Unfortunately, this can also mean those with more violent and destructive Quirks will go on to exhibit violent and destructive tendencies. In the case of Shigaraki, this would mean his desire to reduce everyone and everything to dust is the direct result of his Decay Quirk. There are a lot of reasons to believe this, most notably how All For One has already been shown to have invested so much into the boy.

He lived in a house built by his father for the whole family, including his maternal grandparents Chizuo and Mako. Tenko did not seem to have a Quirk but he suffered from an unknown allergy that caused him to scratch his face frequently. When Tenko was a child, he had a fascination with heroes, but his father Kotaro, who hated everything to do with heroes, did not tolerate his acts and often scolded him. His mother and grandparents were always there for him and comforted him when he was sad, even though they hardly dared to oppose Kotaro. One day, when he was 5, Tenko caused some trouble while pretending to be a hero, so Kotaro took him outside as punishment.

Shigaraki Tomura's actual identity in My Hero Academia has been a mystery ever since he accepted the offer to host the All For One Quirk within himself. Ever since Dr. Garaki's procedure, Shigaraki ceased to be the character that terrorized UA earlier in the story but became an amalgamation of his own personality and his patron's, All For One. Pinpointing this new creature's identity was confusing enough already as they frequently exhibited characteristics of both Shigaraki and All For One, but their relationship is even more complicated with the startling revelation that Shimura Tenko is alive and well within them. After a disastrous first manifestation of his Decay Quirk , Tenko was taken in by All For One as a ward and promised that he would never lack for anything again. Of course, even back then he had plans to turn the young boy into his future avatar. All For One renamed him Shigaraki Tomura and socialized the sweet child to become the incarnation of destruction currently facing UA's finest. Many MHA fans assumed Tenko was assimilated and formed part of Shigaraki's personality, but Chapter revealed this wasn't the case. Shimura first began to resurface when the Big Three started their assault on Shigaraki.

Due to the accumulating damages he received by the Heroes while under the effects of Erasure and the result of the Quirk Singularity, Tomura's body morphs itself into an absolute defense form, which is a much larger and bulkier tone, with swollen fingers and hands covering his torso and legs. As the battle between Shigaraki and Re-Destro rages on, Shigaraki begins to remember his past. He threw one at Eraser Head, which hit him in the leg, and intended to use the other one on Endeavor. His Quirk can even spread beyond what he's touching, allowing him to disintegrate large groups of enemies instantly. At his full potential, it's been acknowledged that Izuku Midoriya is the only one with a chance at defeating him in one-on-one confrontation. Battle on, Challengers! Tomura Shigaraki. However, the bullet meant for Endeavor was destroyed by Katsuki, and Eraser Head managed to amputate his own leg before the drug could destroy his Quirk. From this day forward, I will call it my conviction. Get a Grip on Your Quirk!! In the end, however, Tomura can set his pride aside in order to do whatever is needed to accomplish his goals, adopting Stain's ideology to enlist more members to his cause and forming a deal with the Shie Hassaikai for the development of the Quirk-Destroying Drug. Simple enough, yeah? These hands are the remnants of his family, which he accidentally killed when his Decay Quirk manifested for the first time. It means that Deku has an opportunity to save Tenko without killing him.
