I just love it that much. It made me happy. I loved how it ended, I loved how it was presented, against all odds. No, Natsuo changed a lot. Before the story began, Natsuo had destroyed her most important friendship from her childhood and now had Kei as only friend. At the end of the series, her relationship with Kei had grown much closer, becoming an important source of support for Natsuo, along with Natsuo allowing herself to be kinder and open up more with Kei. While the gym serves as a tool to get to continue fighting, meaning Natsuo could be continuing just in order to keep doing MMA, the very fact that she still wants to continue MMA is positive. Natsuo finding something she truly likes to do and wants to improve, not just to fight Yuzuko, represents an evolution on her, an improvement on her life. It brings changes on her life, and what she needs the most is changes. Earlier on, Karin confesses that she fears think that Natsuo will not continue MMA after she reached her goal of fighting Yuzuko. She worries and cares about her. Their relationship is pretty much nonexistant. To fight Yuzuko is just excuse to achieve said things. Natsuo was always talented at every sport, she learned them without effort, having to actually train at MMA represents a first to her.
